Whilst outdoor swimming in cold weather is not a popular UK past time, a Southport couple has found winter swimming in their new outdoor Endless Pool a pleasure.
“I love getting into our Endless Pool in cold weather. Lying on my back looking at the clouds and birds flying over the garden is wonderful. The trick is to jump in and start swimming quickly, the water is always warm even if it’s freezing outside. I always used to go to the local pool as I love swimming. However, we no longer have to rely on the public pool and its opening times.”
The joy of swimming was not the couple’s only reason for investing in an Endless Pool. “My husband is recovering from a stroke, so he uses the pool for rehabilitation and to restore and improve his balance.”
